Ofcom awards new community licence

Ofcom has awarded a community radio licence to Corby Radio, based in Corby near Leicester. The town has a population of just under 50,000.

Corby Radio will provide [i]"a community-focussed radio station, strong on local issues and news combined with popular music for all tastes, genres and ages.
"The station will aim to involve as many people as possible in the output and operation of the station and its Radio Training Academy."[/i]
