Radio Forth hosts Radiothon

Forth One and Forth 2 spent the weekend raising Cash for Kids at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, by turning one of the wards into a live studio.

The three day event, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday was raising money for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation, and listeners were urged to call in the special pledge line to help boost funds.
Forth One DJs Grant Stott and Arlene were at the hospital as part of the team giving listeners the chance to find out first hand the worthy work that goes on behind the scenes.
Forth One’s breakfast presenter Boogie said: “This is a really exciting time for Radio Forth and we’re really chuffed to be part of a piece of broadcasting history.
“A lot goes on behind the scenes in hospitals that we don’t necessarily know about so we’re delighted to be giving listeners the chance to hear first hand about all the good work carried out in the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, while hopefully raising lots of money in a fun way and for a very good cause.”
