Ice Hockey deal for Rock Radio

GMG's 106.1 Rock Radio has teamed up with The Manchester Phoenix ice hockey team in a sponsorship deal which has benefits for both companies.

In the deal, 106.1 Rock Radio plays classic rock music, with jingles promoting the station, for the pre-game team warm-up. The 106.1 Rock Radio guitar pick is emblazoned across the back of the Manchester Phoenix team shirts which sees the 106.1 Rock Radio brand achieve profile on various TV outlets including Phoenix TV, Channel M, and SKY Sports. The 106.1 Rock Radio logo also appears on team merchandise.
106.1 Rock Radio station director, Joe Radcliffe, said of the deal: “This a great tie-up as ice hockey is synonymous with rock music and with our resident Canadian, ‘Moose,’ heading up the Rock Radio presenting team this is a perfect match.”
The Manchester Phoenix managing director Neil Morris added: “The partnership with Rock Radio is going to be one that is really exciting as the synergy between Rock Radio & the Manchester Phoenix ice hockey team is very close. I know we are going to have a great time working together as both teams like to have fun; and they always get the job done.”
