Key 103 in Manchester has given away a single prize of £10,000 just two days after a major station competition started.
Listeners had to find a hidden device from clues given out on the radio. If "The Bug" heard the words I Love Key 103 within five feet, alarms and sirens would be triggered.
The Bug was located and triggered Thursday afternoon by a Salford man who instantly won £10k. The gadget has been concealed in different locations across Greater Manchester each day since the competition’s launch on Tuesday.
Leigh Bowater from Salford tracked down The Bug outside the rear of The Lowry Outlet Mall after listening to clues on Key 103 regarding its whereabouts.
Gary Stein, Key 103’s programme director said : “Its been a fantastic launch for the promotion, there has been so much interest and listener interaction. The Bug isn’t over yet, it has been found for now but will escape again very soon – watch this space!”
