UTV Radio's group programme director John Dash is leaving the company as part of a restructuring within the group, RadioToday.co.uk can reveal.
Radio Today also understands that deputy group programme director Simon Walkington has also been 'let go' but UTV were unable to comment at this stage.
John joined UTV management in 2006 after holding various titles around the industry including programme director for Piccadilly Radio and Wave 105. He will be leaving the business on 30th November after implementing numerous changes at the group's ILR stations across the UK.
John told RadioToday.co.uk: "It's been a creative and challenging time that I've thoroughly enjoyed and I wish everyone at UTV Radio all the best for the future".
A UTV spokesperson said: "John has been a very popular member of the team and all at UTV Radio wish John the best of luck in his future endeavours."
