Liverpool’s Radio City 96.7 is running a month long Jim’ll Fix It style promotion, offering the services of presenters including breakfast host Simon Ross.
So far, the presenters have given away free petrol to the morning commuters, turned up at a listener’s house to iron her work clothes, helped out at a primary school coffee morning and given away free concert tickets to the sold out Oasis gig at Liverpool Echo arena. The promotion is supported by outdoor advertising and on air prompts.
Station director, Richard Maddock said: “It’s been great fun so far, and will get bigger and better. We’ve had some brilliant requests in and we are doing our best to arrange them. We’ve also had some very strange ones and some unrepeatable!
“We have got some major events up our sleeves, so those who have applied need to keep their fingers crossed as their wishes might just come true.”
