Gaunt suspended from talkSPORT

Presenter Jon Gaunt has been suspended from his daily radio show on talkSPORT after calling a Tory councillor a "Nazi" live on air.

Gaunt accused Councillor Michael Stark of being “a Nazi” and “an ignorant pig” during a discussion about Redbridge council’s ban on smokers becoming foster parents.

The radio station received a number of complaints with regards to the content and nature of the broadcast on Friday 7th November.

A talkSPORT spokesperson told "talkSPORT has taken the decision to suspend Jon Gaunt whilst the matter is investigated. When we have all the facts at our disposal we will take whatever action, if any, that we deem appropriate."
