New commercial boss for Tower

Michael Benjamin, a former sales executive at Imagine FM and Tower FM has re-joined the latter in Bolton as commercial director.

Benjamin started his career 20 years ago at a number of radio stations in Boston, USA, with key account wins including Kodak and Dunkin Donuts.
He then became a board director at WJDA and WESX stations in Massachusetts responsible for operations, where he stayed for 12 years, before heading to the UK, initially working at Imagine FM in south Manchester and then transferring to Tower FM.
Speaking of his appointment, Benjamin said: “My heart is in radio and it is great to be back, especially here at Tower FM, where I spent several happy years and only left the industry briefly to establish an international medical translation company.
“Radio is different all over the world but the bottom line for advertisers is that they want results and that’s what I am here to deliver.”
Mike Baker, senior station director at 107.4 Tower FM, said: “I am pleased that someone of Michael’s calibre will be heading up the commercial team. He is well known and greatly respected by advertisers who have dealt with the radio station over many years.”
