Perth FM launches in.. Perth

The UK's newest radio station launched on Wednesday morning to a potential audience of just 60,000 in Perth and the surrounding area.
Perth FM was set up, and is run by Mark Page. The station commenced broadcasting just four days before the 2nd anniversary of its licence win in 2006.

“We started planning the station over three years ago and all the research and trials tell us there is a huge demand in Perth for its own radio station,” Mark told [link=http://www.thecourier.co.uk/output/2008/11/04/newsstory12193942t0.asp]The Courier[/link] newspaper.
“We had been looking for suitable premises for some time."
Perth FM 10606 is broadcasting 24 hours a day, with Grant Thomson hosting the breakfast show, Mark Page on during the day and Mike Arthur on afternoons.
Mark also owned L107 in Lanarkshire but closed down the station just a few weeks ago.
