Pulse Gold becomes Pulse 2

UTV Radio has re-launched Pulse Gold in West Yorkshire as Pulse 2. The station originally launched in 1975 and has also been known over the years as Pennine Radio, Big AM, Great Yorkshire Gold and Classic Gold.

Owner UTV Radio also operates sister station The Pulse on 97.5 and 102.5 FM. On the station's new website, Pulse 2 is described as "the brand new radio station for Good Times and Great Music in West Yorkshire playing the greatest hits of the 60s 70s & 80s."

The name change brings the station in line with sister stations Signal 1 and Signal 2.
