Hallam FM's afternoon drive presenter Kam Kelly, and John Healey MP helped set a new world record for the most people down a zip line in one hour to raise money for charity.
Fellow Hallam FM presenter Richie Pearson, Alan Turner from the X Factor and hundreds of Hallam FM listeners also took part by dressing up as Santa and sliding over 50 metres down a Zip Line.
The Santa Slide was done to raise awareness of the fact that many local children won’t be having such a great Christmas. Local charity Hallam FM’s Cash for Kids organises a toy appeal every year to ensure disadvantaged Children will receive something from Santa.
Charity Manager Paul Benington from Hallam FM’s Cash for kids said “We had great fun setting a new World Record and I’m looking forward to seeing a record breaking number of toys being donated to the appeal. I would encourage everyone to buy an extra gift when out Christmas shopping this year.”
