Following last month's news that industry magazine X-Trax has been placed into administration, RadioToday.co.uk can reveal Sportsmedia Broadcasting is hoping to resurrect the business.
Sportsmedia Broadcasting, who provide 106 stations with daily sports news and 64 stations with finance news have approached the administrators to see if they can resurrect the business – including the web-based services and X-Trax The Magazine
Jonny Gould from Sportsmedia Broadcasting said: "We'd love to be the white knight to save X-Trax and the web service, although there are factors out of our control at the moment. To take this on, we'd need access to their servers and data. Apparently, this is a logistical problem they're overcoming at the administrators agents at the moment.
"X-Trax is a well thought off magazine in the industry – hopefully, we can overcome this challenge."
Sportsmedia supports brand campaigns such as Nationwide Building Society, Sky Sports, Paddy Power and IG Index.
