Basingstoke licence hopefuls wanted

The latest local commercial radio licence has been readvertised by Ofcom.
The regulator has given would-be local radio groups until 2 February to declare their intent to apply for the Basingstoke licence, which is currently held by Tindle station Kestrel FM and expires in May 2010.

The new licence will run until 2015.
Meanwhile, Ofcom says that incumbent licensee Arrow FM was the only group to show an interest in the licence for Hastings. The TLRC station will now be able to reapply under the "fast-track" procedure.
