LBC's Ferrari heads to the USA

LBC 97.3 Breakfast Presenter Nick Ferrari will travel to the USA next week to bring live coverage of the Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama.

In the station’s 35-year history, this marks the first time LBC 97.3 has broadcast from the Inauguration of a United States President.

Nick Ferrari will host two breakfast shows live from Washington on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st January, 7am to 10am GMT. Nick will present live coverage, analysis and interviews, with additional reports and comment from correspondents across the USA. Last November, Nick hosted three live breakfast shows from Chicago, bringing news and reaction from the US Elections.

Nick Ferrari said: “We know from the listener feedback that my audience found the US Election coverage from Chicago compelling. Our job now is to ensure we convey all the excitement and history of this dramatic conclusion.”

LBC 97.3’s Programme Director, Jonathan Richards said: “It is natural for Nick to be in Washington at this historic time, especially as he was in
Chicago for the result. Nick's broadcasts from Chicago received widespread praise from our listeners as he witnessed for himself the scenes of jubilation in Obama's adopted home city.

London's biggest conversation is about being at the heart of what matters to Londoners and everyone will be watching to see if Obama can really bring change in these difficult times.”

As well as in London on FM, LBC can be heard on DAB in certain parts of the UK, and on Freeview.
