NME and C4 launch Skins Radio

NME Radio has partnered with Channel 4 to launch Skins Radio, a special daily show dedicated to the third series of the E4 television show, beginning January 12th.

Skins Radio will be broadcast from 7-9pm in the two weeks leading up to the start of the latest series which starts on January 22nd.
Hosted by new Skins Radio presenters James Theaker and Daniel Kaluuya, the daily evening programme will feature live sessions from the bands who have contributed to the soundtrack of the new series, including Dead Kids, Filthy Dukes, Young Fathers, Mr Beasley and more. Sessions will also feature DJ mixes, interviews with the new cast members and on-set gossip.
Skins Radio will be supported by a dedicated NME.COM micro-channel at www.nme.com/skins, featuring video of the new cast, footage of the bands in session, and trailers for the new series.
The deal – brokered by NME Radio’s head of sponsorship, promotions and live events , Matt Priest – also includes advertorial support in the pages of NME and a Skins Radio party at The Arches on London’s South bank on January 20, featuring live music from Filthy Dukes, You Love Her Cos She’s Dead, Young Fathers, Dead Kids and Unicorn Kid.
NME Radio managing director Sammy Jacob says: “It’s really exciting to be able to create bespoke solutions for brands in this way. We’ve radically changed our schedule and have two dedicated Skins Radio presenters on board, creating fantastic and original content to support the lunch.”
