New radio platform is Fruity

Made in Manchester Productions, which creates regular documentaries for BBC Radio 2, is launching a new online platform of radio and television programmes for the global gay community.

Fruit TV will create TV and radio programmes aimed at the global gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community and will include free exclusive content online.
“There will be documentaries and drama through to arts, lifestyle, comedy and short films,” says Director of Commissioning Ashley Byrne. “There will be biographies, light entertainment shows and other regular features from all around the globe. We are even working on a radio soap aimed at the LGBT world.
