TLRC creates NW News Hub

The Local Radio Company, which will soon be bringing back off-peak local programmes, has created a North West England news hub, serving 2BR, Silk FM and Dee 106.3.

The "hub" is based at 2BR's studio in Nelson, and will be run initially on a team of four journalists.
But the facility is not just limited to TLRC stations. One of Dee 106.3's shareholders is Town and Country Broadcasting, of which TLRC Managing Director for Local Radio Jason Bryant is the sole shareholder. Bryant told RadioToday.co.uk other stations in the area are welcome to join the hub: "It will provide local news and information to stations of all sizes, and to businesses owned and not owned by TLRC."
Meanwhile, Silk FM is back in Macclesfield, Cheshire after temporarily broadcasting from 2BR's Studio 2 in Nelson for the last two weeks during a re-location period. The new studios are a short distance from the Macclesfield Town football ground.
