Tomahawk reaches for the star

Tomahawk Radio, the owner of Original 106.5fm in Bristol, has today completed the acquisition of Bristol’s Star 107.2.
The purchase from UKRD means that the two stations will now broadcast from single premises in the city.

Jonathan Arendt, director Tomahawk Radio, said “We are delighted to have completed this acquisition and remain committed to delivering truly focused local radio in Bristol. We see a strong future for both brands in the city.”
Tomahawk Radio director Richard Johnson, said “This was a rare opportunity to own two FM licences in a major market, and we believe this will allow both stations to thrive with strongly differentiated audiences.”
