Capital shuffle as Lucio exits

Rich Clarke and Kat Shoob have taken over Capital FM's evening show from Lucio Buffone, who has left the station to explore new opportunities.

Rich previously hosted the networked evening show on Bauer Radio's Big City Network, In Demand, (and currently hosts the Capital late show) whilst TV presenter Kat Shoob has previous radio experience working with BamBam on his short lived Podcast.

Lucio, who also hosted hit40uk, said: “I've had an amazing time at Capital and I'm extremely proud of the work I have done. I would like to thank everyone I've had the pleasure of working with on my shows and I wish everyone at Capital all the best for the future.”

From Monday 27th, the new schedule includes Roberto on afternoons, 1 till 4pm, the Bassman on lates, new girl Victoria Windsor on overnights and Chris Brooks on weekends.

Paul Jackson, Group Programme Director, 95.8 Capital FM, The Hit Music Network & The XFM Network said: “We have a great tradition of supporting new talent at 95.8 Capital FM and in a competitive market we need to be constantly innovating and evolving – Lucio is off to pastures new and we wish him all the best for the future. Maintaining the best talent in radio with the best hit music is what keeps the station fresh and exciting for listeners, and now, with news of the much anticipated Summertime Ball, 95.8 Capital FM has the best events to match!”
