Edinburgh’s 107FM back on air

Talk107’s former frequency will be sparking back in to life under the auspices of Celador Radio Broadcasting. The station went off air on Christmas Eve and will be replaced, albeit briefly, by Celador’s Coast 107.

The licence for Edinburgh and the Lothians will be in operation from May 23 for just under a month. The new station will be mirror the company’s Coast operation in the south of England; ‘more tracks, less chat’.
A spokesman for Celador said: "The station is a taste of what Celador would like to provide if granted a permanent licence. The Coast 107 will be aimed at over-40s who appreciate quality, credible music with no inane speech…”
Former Radio Forth and talk107 presenter, Scott Wilson, will front the station's breakfast show, while Brian Ford – who has been with both Radio Forth and Radio Clyde – will be doing drive-time. News will be under the stewardship of Charles Fletcher, who also heads up the station.
