Kerrang! listeners buried alive

Five fearless contestants from across the Midlands have been buried alive, encased in 6-foot coffins, thanks to Kerrang! Radio.

And the winner turned out to be Kyle Maunder, the nephew of an undertaker, who spent more than 77 hours in his coffin beating the other four contestants to take home the one thousand pound prize.
On emerging from the coffin Kyle said: “I'm very happy, and I can finally go home and have a decent night's sleep now!”
The five contestants were put through an extreme experience since entering the coffins on Monday evening, including psychological challenges and living with live maggots. Runner-up Michelle dropped out at 22:30 on Thursday, leaving Kyle as the only person remaining in the competition.
Kerrang! Radio presenter Nick Margerrison said "He didn't believe us when we told him he'd won – his head's in bits! What an awesome achievement for Kyle!"
