New news head for Northsound

Joe Odber has taken on the role as Head of News for Northsound, replacing Sarah Campbell.

Joe previously worked at talk107 in Edinburgh, where he held the post of deputy editor until the station’s recent closure.
Joe studied at Bell College in Hamilton and has a postgraduate diploma in Radio Journalism. He graduated in 2001 and started work with Dundee-based Wave 102 until 2002, when he joined Real Radio until 2006.
“I hope I can bring enthusiasm, experience and a good head for news,” said Joe. “It’s a real privilege to join Northsound. It’s a much loved station with a great pedigree, and we’ve got a great news team who are a joy to work with.”
Luke McCullough, Northsound’s Managing Director, added: “We are delighted to welcome Joe to the Northsound team and I am sure his wealth of experience in broadcast journalism will be a real asset to our existing news team."
