Rutland Radio goes off key

Rutland Radio has had its request to remove ‘melodic music’ from its output approved by media regulator Ofcom. The station asked that they be allowed to drop the phrase from the station’s ‘Character of Service’.

In granting the request, Ofcom noted that they didn’t expect the station to adopt any radical changes in its current music policy and that it would still provide an appropriate service for its 22-54 year old audience.
