Following the closure of Birdsong on Digital One, a new digital radio station has launched nationally playing nothing but new music by unsigned artists.

Lakeland Radio fined £15,000
Media regulator Ofcom has fined Lakeland Radio £15,000 for unfair conduct of competitions. The penalty was levied after the station ran three listener competitions called Suss the Celeb.
DAB space available in London
Switchdigital, operator of the second London DAB digital radio multiplex, is inviting applications from interested potential service providers.
Buckley takes charge of Signal
UTV Radio has appointed Central Radio's Chris Buckley as programme controller of Signal 1 and Signal 2.
Radio Hampshire closes down
Southampton station Radio Hampshire closed at 2pm today (Thursday). The station, previously known as The Saint and South City FM, was owned by Southampton Leisure Holdings but was sold following relegation.
Farewell, Focal Radio
After being on air less than a year, Focal Radio went off air at 1pm today. The closure of the Stoke-on-Trent based DAB radio station comes despite what it called "overwhelming" support from the local community.
One million injection for TLRC
UKRD has made good on their its of a £1.5m cash boost to The Local Radio Company, which was required in order for the company to continue trading.
