Channel 4 director quits

Nathalie Schwarz, Channel 4’s director of new business and the person who was meant to spearhead the company’s ultimately unsuccessful push into digital radio, has stepped down.

Schwarz left in March, the details of her departure were revealed in the broadcaster’s annual report for 2008 according to The Guardian.
Schwarz joined the broadcaster from GCap in 2006 as director of radio. She was appointed new business and corporate director in February last year.
The broadcaster’s plans to launch ten new digital radio stations under the 4 Digital umbrella were retracted in October 2008 after advertising revenue collapsed.
