Magic launches Cash for Kids

Magic 105.4 has launched a new children's charity, and appointed Zoe Bailie from The Body Shop to run it.

Zoe will co-ordinate all fundraising projects and be responsible for the strategic direction, planning and day to day management of the charity. She joins Bauer Media from the Body Shop where she was Global Marketing Manager, responsible for fundraising projects and promotions.
Magic 105.4 is the latest station in Bauer Media’s Radio Network to launch “Cash for Kids” and joins 19 other Bauer stations across the country having its own dedicated charity.
Steve Parkinson, MD London Radio, Bauer Media said: “The team at Magic wants to grow its charitable efforts as the station has grown and I’m delighted to welcome Zoe to the Magic 105.4 team as Charity Manager. We are committed to improving the lives of sick and disadvantaged children across London.
“Magic 105.4 is a long-standing corporate partner of Great Ormond Street Hospital and will continue to support its world famous work with Children. Cash for Kids will allow us to expand our fundraising support and everyone at Magic is looking forward to making a real difference to the lives of London’s sick and needy youngsters.”
In 2008 Bauer Media’s Cash for Kids charities raised £5.6 million throughout the UK. The Charities’ ambition is to increase donations to £7.5 million in 2009 and ultimately to reach £10million by 2010.
