Chesterfield licence available

The FM licence for Chesterfield, currently held by Peak FM, is up for grabs from Ofcom.

The regulator has invited declarations of intent to apply for the licence, with a closing date of 3pm on Tuesday 01 September 2009. The current licence, held by Peak FM's parent company Grand Central Broadcasting Ltd, is part of the UTV Radio network.
The current licence, using 107.4 and 102 MHz FM is due to expire on the 6th of October 2010.
The licence for Chelmsford is also available, currently held by Chelmsford Radio Ltd and broadcasting as Chelmsford Radio 107.7fm.
An application fee of £5,000 for each licence will be payable with each declaration of intent, and is not refundable in any circumstances. A declaration of intent must also be accompanied by payment of a deposit of £20,000.
