Kmfm to share more programming

Kmfm has had its request to share programming across all its stations granted by Ofcom. The decision means that the network will now share all programmes apart from breakfast.

In their request, the Kent based network asked Ofcom to consider allowing them to reduce their locally made programmes to four hours in the week, ie, their respective breakfast shows. This change would affect the Maidstone, Medway, Ashford, Canterbury, Thanet and Dover/Folkestone stations.
Agreeing that the ‘departure would not substantially alter the character of the service’, the media regulator granted the change in format.
