Global creates Head of Music

Buffie du Pon, former Marketing and Brands Manager at Decca Records, has joined Global as Head of Music Partnerships.

Her previous responsibilities at the Universal Music Group label included breaking new artists, developing careers for established, high-profile artists as well as heading up brands, sponsorship and synchronisation for the label.
This newly created position will see du Pon report into Giles Pearman, Global Group Director of Marketing and her focus will be on music partnerships across Global Radio’s seven brands including the Heart Network, Capital and Classic FM.
Giles Pearman said: “Following the success of Global’s past music partnerships we’re looking forward to Buffie joining and helping to develop this area of the business further.”
Buffie du Pon said “This is an exciting time to be joining Global Radio, when their music partnerships are thriving and there is potential to expand and develop them even further. I’m passionate about music and radio so I’m looking forward to taking on this role and being part of the Global Radio team.”
