New owners for Pennine FM

Huddersfield's local radio station Pennine FM has been sold to the Urban Media Group, and now has a newly installed programme director and commercial director.

The station, which went through a management buy out in 2008 and was sold again ealier this year, is now Part of The Urban Media Group which is part of the “Chris James Group” – Radio Today can reveal.
CEO Chris James said: "Having Pennine FM will be a Great Advantage to the Chris James Group of Companies."
The first appointments put Juice FM's Station Producer Jonathan Gold as Programme Director, and former Pennine Radio Sales Manager Dave Stanker as Commercial Director.
Chris said “Jonathan brings a wealth of experience to Pennine, Jonathan lives in Huddersfield and will bring a team of Presenters to make Pennine, what Hudersfield needs”
Chris continued: "Dave Joins us from The Lincs FM Group, and he was the original Sales Manager for Bradford’s Pennine Radio back in 1984 when Pennine first came to Kirkless and Calderdale."
