New identity for Manx Radio

The Isle of Man's national broadcaster Manx Radio has launched a new sound, visual identity and programme schedule.
Part of the changes include a new logo, and jingle package from S2Blue recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios in London.

The station continues with the Sound of Your Life strapline, but that is the only thing which remains the same, as Manx Radio’s Business Director, John Marsom, commented: “This is the most comprehensive and thorough branding exercise that the station has ever undertaken. We decided from the outset to incorporate both audio and visuals to create a contemporary exciting image that has both broad appeal and longevity.
"Both S2Blue and Home Strategic have delivered in turning our wish list into a truly exceptional identity for Manx Radio.”
The new programme schedule will see Chris Williams on breakfast, Chris Kinley on mornings, former breakfast jock Alex Brindley on afternoons and Ashlea Tracey on drive. Bob Harrison, previously on afternoons, will move to the evening show.
Manx Radio’s Controller of Programmes and Content , Marc Tyley, said, regarding the new schedule, “We have the best presentation team on the Island and with the new line-up I have built on the strengths of each of our presenters and given them areas where they will hopefully shine even brighter than they currently do.
"Manx Radio has a rich history of re-invention and moving forward and I am delighted to be a part of this latest development.”
On the new jingle package, Simon Prentice, Managing Director of S2blue, said: "This has been such an exciting project to work on. We have a great relationship with Manx Radio, having worked closely with them over the past few years.
"The new package has a rich and contemporary sound, which will fit in well with the diverse output that Manx Radio have. We are extremely proud of the package and hope it works well for Manx."
