The Bee promotes Cook to PC

Andy Cook has been appointed as programme controller at 107 The Bee, meaning a change to the schedule at the Lancashire station.
Andy will move from breakfast to mid-mornings, making way for weekend presenter EJ to take on the 6 till 10am slot.

Andy's appointment follows Station Manager Simon Brierley moving to a multi-station management role within 2BR and The Bee, and leaving his weekday show behind.
"I’ll be sad to leave the show," says Andy. "I’ve really enjoyed my stint on brekkie – it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions – a lot of ups, not so many downs. I’m obviously sad to say goodbye but welcome the challenge of my new job."
"I’m really looking forward to hearing the new Breakfast show," says Simon. "EJ has been a part of the team from outset, so it’s great to be able to reward her with this new gig. She joins a lineup made up entirely of locals – which means we can really reflect our community in our programmes."
EJ, born and bred in Darwen, has been employed by the station since it’s formation in 2005. She said "I’m really looking forward to presenting the new breakfast show and can’t wait to get on air- I just hope I can do the team proud!"
