Bolton finally takes day of rest

Roger Bolton is to step down as the presenter of BBC Radio 4's Sunday programme after more than 10 years in the role. Roger has covered all the major religious stories of the past decade for Sunday's 1.6 million weekly listeners.
Roger said: "After spending most weekends for the past 12 years away from home, in Manchester, I look forward to waking up in my own bed on Sunday mornings. I'll still be listening to Sunday – but in a horizontal position.

"It has been a privilege to be Sunday's presenter for so long. I believe it is one of the BBC's most important programmes. I was always a bit scared doing it but I hope that did not show.
BBC Radio 4's Head of Religion Radio, Christine Morgan, added: "Roger has been the lead voice of Sunday for almost 12 years and he will be much missed both by the listeners and by the tight knit team who have worked with him.”
Listeners will still hear Roger on the network as he will continue to front BBC Radio 4's Feedback programme. His final Sunday broadcast will be at the end of January 2010.
