Sugababes are first in Studio 10

The new live music performance strand set up by Signal 1 has welcomed the Sugababes as its first guest.

Strand 10 is a new feature which will broadcast on the Stoke-based station, and across the UTV Radio network over the coming weeks.

Solo acts and bands will be invited to Studio 10 to perform stripped down, live versions of their current tracks and hit songs.

Signal 1 station director Iain Fowler, whose idea Studio 10 was, said of the debut session: “I was thrilled that The Sugababes were the first act to perform in Studio 10. They got the show off to a fantastic start.

“Acts who visit the radio station always say their first love is performing and would love the opportunity to sing live. With Studio 10 they can. Each live performance will be a one-off, which means well be able to offer exclusive audio for the listeners of Signal 1 and Total Access.”
