GMG Radio has appointed KLP as the new creative agency for the Smooth Radio brand.
They will handle above and below the line creative, as well as non-traditional media requirements for an initial contract period of two years.
Through a selection process handled by AAR, the final pitches were presented to a panel of six senior GMG Radio management led by Group Marketing Manager, Helen Dickinson.
KLP is a full service marketing and communications agency with a proven history of working with large entertainment brands.
Stuart Taylor, GMG Radio CEO and a member of the selection panel said: “The four finalist pitches were very impressive but KLP’s presentation stood out. They showed a real understanding of the Smooth Radio target audience and clearly have an affinity with the brand and the task in hand.
“They presented us with a series of engaging solutions which harnessed the evangelical nature of our audience. More importantly they demonstrated expertise in all areas of communication and we are all looking forward to working with such a creative and innovative team.”
