The drive team at Wave 105 has saddled up to sample camel polo on Sandbanks beach!
Presenter Rick Jackson and newsreader Shaun Aquilina tried the sport ahead of the 2010 British Beach Polo Championships, the station is the official media partner.
Rick Jackson said: “Both Shaun and I had never ridden a horse before let alone a camel, but I think we were both surprised at how quickly the animals could move. It was certainly an experience! I think the camel polo adds a nice element to this year’s polo event and I understand this is the first time camel polo has been played in Europe!”
The British Beach Polo Championships will be held on Sandbanks beach on Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th of July, with two days of the sport and special events.
