Juice FM has been given something most stations only ever dream of – an increase in transmitter power from 250W to 500W.
The extra power to the service, tweaked by Arqiva, doubles its transmitter strength and will make the station clearer within its TSA, station bosses say.
Station director Graham Sarath: “With the increase in signal strength, every house across Liverpool is able to receive a crystal clear reception. So if you want to know what’s hot and what’s not across our great city, then 107.6 Juice FM is where you should be tuned to.”
In comparison, Juice FM's nearest rival Radio City is operating on 7.5kW of power, and Magic 1548 is using 2kW on mediumwave.
