Frost documentary for Radio 2

Sir David Frost is the topic of an upcoming documentary for BBC Radio 2, hosted by Hollywood actor Michael Sheen.

Sheen played Frost in the film Frost/Nixon and has been secured by Made in Manchester Productions for the hour-long programme which airs this Wednesday at 10pm.

The programme, Hello Good Evening and Welcome: the David Frost Story, includes archive recordings of David's interview with Robert Kennedy just weeks before his assassination and his famous conversation with US President Richard Nixon.

Co-producer Ashley Bryne told RadioToday.co.uk: "People don't often realise it but Sir David's contribution to both journalism and entertainment in Britain and America has been huge."

The programme includes anecdotes from Ronnie Corbett, Sir Michael Parkinson, Robin Gibb and Kenneth Cope.
