Heart gets Blunt in the sky

James Blunt will be performing a gig at 41,000 feet for Heart listeners later this month, in a bid to break the world record for the highest live music gig.

The event will see 150 listeners watching Blunt perform on-board a special Boeing 757 plane.

It's being done with Heart advertiser RSA Insurance. Tickets for the flight will be given away on-air and online across the Heart network.

Since the beginning of the year, MORE TH>N, the direct insurance business owned by RSA, has been the headline sponsor of Heart's mid-morning show presented by Toby Anstis. The partnership was created and brokered by Starcom MediaVest Group’s sponsorship team.

Clare Sheikh, RSA Group Strategy, Customer and Marketing Director said: “As part of our 300th anniversary celebrations, we wanted to do something really special to build on MORE TH>N’s successful partnership with Heart. What better way than by combining a world record attempt with one of the world’s best-loved singer/songwriters as Heart and RSA reach for the skies!”
