Alesha Dixon is the first act confirmed for the Blackpool Illuminations switch-on with Real and Smooth Radio.
The two networks are broadcasting the event on commercial radio for the first time. GMG Radio North West secured the deal from BBC Radio 2, who have covered it for the past 13 years.
Over 15,000 people will attend the biggest night in Blackpool’s calendar with many more expected to tune in on Real and Smooth’s eleven stations across the UK. Presenters will broadcast from a purpose built arena throughout the day.
Alesha is just the first act to be confirmed for the event and will be revealed to Real Radio listeners on Monday morning’s breakfast show.
