Sports Report returns to 60

BBC Radio 5 live and 5 live sports extra are gearing up to the start of the next football season with live coverage and commentary, including 128 live Premier League matches.

Sports Report will also return to its regular 60 minute slot at 5pm Saturdays.

The football phone-in programme 606 is also returning to its original timeslot, 6.06pm, with new regular hosts Mark Chapman and Robbie Savage.

5 live’s Premier League coverage kicks off on Saturday 14 August at 12.00pm with live commentary from the opening game of the season, Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City, followed by Wigan v Blackpool and updates from all day’s other 3pm matches.

James Alexander Gordon is also on board with his legendary read of the classified results.

The 2010-11 football season starts on Saturday 7th August with coverage of the day’s games in the Championship and Leagues One and Two and at 5.15pm live Championship commentary of Leeds United v Derby County.
