Real Radio and Smooth Radio, who are joining together to broadcast the switch-on of the Blackpool Illuminations, have attracted more acts to join Robbie Williams and Alesha Dixon.
The event will now see Gabriella Cilmi, The Wanted and X Factor’s Olly Murs amongst others.
They will all perform ahead of Robbie Williams who will be there to throw the switch. Although he won’t be performing, the announcement of Robbie as the Switch-On Star saw a massive response for tickets for the event, with just over 150,000 requests for tickets in a week.
