Horse race named after station

Scottish station Perth FM is celebrating its upcoming 2nd birthday, by having a horse race named after them.

The Perth FM 106.6 Claiming Hurdle Race takes place during the last two days racing for the season at Perth racecourse.

Perth FM owner, Mark Page, told us: "I think racing and radio make great partners. It's a great day out that our team enjoy and part of the fun of this will be seeing our name on the Big Screen, on the Racing Channel and the race listings. Whether I'll be having a flutter on our race remains to be seen, but we will be handing special edition radios to the winning trainer and jockey."

Sam Morsehead, Perth Racecourse Manager, added: "I am delighted with the partnership we have with Perth FM 106.6 and I know that many of our race goers are now enjoying the information local radio provides them when they are coming to the races. I hope that the Perth FM team enjoy their day with us on and I am very grateful for their support."
