Knoxy takes drivetime on Clyde

The winner of the Arqiva Commercial Radio Presenter of the Year Award 2010 has found herself a new job, as host of Clyde 1's afternoon drive.

Knoxy joins Clyde in October from sister station Moray Firth Radio in Inverness where she also hosted the drivetime show.

Tracey McNellan, Station Director at Radio Clyde, said: “Knoxy is going to be a big hit with Clyde 1. She’s a fantastic presenter and we can’t wait to have her taking Glasgow and the West of Scotland home every weekday evening.

Finding a new host for our number 1 drive time show was always going to be a challenge. We searched far and wide, determined to get the very best around to join the team at Clyde 1. When we found Knoxy it was clear the search was over.

“She’s a star of the future, recognised not just by us at Radio Clyde but at the Arqiva Awards, by the radio industry too. It's exciting for her to now be taking the stage on the largest commercial station in Scotland. Knoxy’s a fabulous addition to our team and we are delighted to have her bring the best music, entertainment, sport and news to our local audience.”

Knoxy said: “I’m over the moon to be coming back to Glasgow – I’ve always dreamed about working for the station and I’m really excited to be taking on such an important show.

“I’m looking forward to bringing exciting and up-to-the-minute music, entertainment and celebrity news to the West of Scotland. I can’t wait to get on air at Clyde 1!”
