Scores of UK stations, programmers and production companies are awaiting the results of the New York Radio Festival awards tonight.
Commercial radio groups Global, Bauer, GMG and Absolute are all nominated, along with programmes produced for the BBC by indies such as Wise Buddah, Blue Revolution, TBI, Fresh Air and Ten Alps.
The ceremony take place in New York tonight (24 September 2010) at 6pm EST at Manhattan Penthouse.
This year there's a new trophy for the winners, designed to resemble a 1920s art deco radio microphone.
The 'Best Music Special' category is perhaps the most hotly-contested, with 8 UK programmes nominated for the award.
