Nic Pandolfi joins Town 102

Former BBC Radio Suffolk and Heart presenter Nic Pandolfi is to join Town 102 to host the breakfast show from next year.

He'll take up the job from 4 January and joins another former Heart/SGR man Paul Morris in the line-up.

Nic has been a well known face and voice across Suffolk for over a decade. Following a successful stint as an actor, he joined the presentation team at BBC Radio Suffolk before moving to Heart Radio – now no longer in the county having merged with the Heart station in neighbouring Norfolk.

Nic told RadioToday.co.uk he's thrilled to be back on the air in his home county:"Joining the team at Town 102 has reignited my passion for local radio and this show will really interact with our audience. Getting people off to work with a smile is so important. I want listeners to feel better in the morning when they’ve got wet hair, one sock on and are running ten minutes late for the school run."

He added: "I know we are in for a really good time, it feels like coming home. Dear Santa, a new alarm clock please…"

Programme Director Tom Kay believes Town 102 now has it’s strongest line up ever. Nic’s a great character," he said. "You can really tell he loves life round here every time you listen. We can’t wait for the new show to start. Our other recent signing Paul Morris will host Town’s Afternoon Show, whilst workday favourite Dave James and the off-the-wall Craig Stevens at the weekend gives us a great line up of personality presenters in touch with Ipswich life."

Last week, Town 102 celebrated it’s highest listening figures since launch four years ago. 72,000 adults tune in each quarter.
