Orion Media lead the nominations for this year's Radio Academy Promotions and Marketing Awards as 10 of their entries have made the shortlist.
Absolute Radio are nominated 9 times and Global 8.
The BBC are next with 7 nominations, while Bauer have 6, GMG have 3 and UKRD 1.
In one category – Best Local or Regional Radio Marketing Campaign – three Orion stations are up against each other. It's a Midlands battle too as Mercia, BRMB and Heart 106 go up against Global's Trent FM.
Absolute is up against itself in two categories – Best National On-Air Promotion (for Faces for Radio and Rock 'n Roll Football Live), and Best National Station/Network Marketing Campaign (for Faces for Radio and The White Van Man Giveaway). In the latter it's up against Radio 4's History of the World in 100 Objects and Radio 2's marketing for the Chris Evans Breakfast Show.
In the hotly-contested Best On Air Imaging category, it's between Absolute, Radio 1, Radio 1Xtra and BRMB.
Best Local/Regional On-Air Promotion sees Bauer's Scottish stations (The Great Donate) up against stablemate Hallam FM (Get Me To The Church On Time 2), plus UKRD's Minster FM (Live In It To Win It) and Global's Trent FM (Raise Your Voice).
GMG's Real Radio has three nominations – for Real Radio Websafe, the North East's Vote Joe, and the North West's MEN Arena Real Big Bash.

The winners will be announced at the NDL Promotions and Marketing Awards 2010 on 22 November at The Venue on London's Great Portland Street.
