Kiss launches Chosen One

Youth radio station Kiss is to hold live auditions in shopping centres around London to search for their next presenter.

The Kiss Chosen One starts next weekend at the Westfield complex in West London, with aspiring broadcasters urged to go along and show their charisma and confidence to entertain the nation.

Sponsored by BlackBerry, the feature will be the first time Kiss have held live open auditions where members of the public will be able to win a job on the Kiss presenting team.

Starting 15 January, the Kiss team will be out over four Saturdays at Westfield, Lakeside, Whitgift Centre in Croydon and in Central London. As well as live auditions, entrants will be able to upload their audition online, for the chance to be seen by the judges.

The judging panel will comprise of Kiss Group Programme Director Andy Roberts and a Kiss presenter at each event, including Manny Norté, Rickie, Melvin and Charlie who will shortlist the five best entrants from each heat. From there a gauntlet of trials and challenges will be set, where the most successful contestant will be crowned The Kiss Chosen One.
