Video connection for new radio

Radio manufacturers Pure have started the New Year with another multi-platform device that adds features normally only found on iPod docks.

The Pure Contour includes video output connectors so that iPod and iPhone users can use the radio as a way of using their portable device to view video content on their TV.

As well as a stylish black crescent shape with silver surround, backlit touch-sensitive controls and smooth, clean lines, Contour has the usual DAB, FM and Pure's now standard Flow technology for streaming internet radio or music from a media server. It's also got Pure's 'Clearsound' technology which promises clear dynamic audio, higher volume levels and low power consumption.

The video outputs (component, S-Video and composite) allow users to view YouTube videos and videos stored on their iPhone or iPod on their TV.
