A week on from leaving his mid-morning show on BBC Radio Leeds, Alex Belfield has signed an extended deal with Radio Jersey for his ‘Sunday with the Stars’ programme.
The celebrity interview slot will continue for another 20 weeks and feature chats with personalities including Chris Evans, Lord Sugar, Michael Parkinson and Queen guitarist Brian May.
Alex has been providing programmes for BBC Radio Jersey for nearly a decade and told RadioToday.co.uk: "I love working for the BBC and my natural home is BBC Local Radio. I am passionate that local audiences get quality content. I am honoured to be one of the only independent producers for BBC Local Radio. I pride myself on offering unique and exclusive content to local markets that they would ordinarily only go to Network. My guests and the programmes get an amazing reaction from listeners up and down the country, it's the best gig in wireless!"
Alex has also announced he’ll be presenting a bespoke brand new show at Easter for BBC Radio Cumbria called 'The 2 Montys' with John Cleese and Michael Palin.
